How we use cookies

Our site uses cookies. Here you can read more about what a cookie is, how we use them and how to handle them.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer when you visit a website. Their function is partly to make sure that you, as a website visitor, have a good experience with access to all features, and partly that we can measure the traffic on our site.

How STEP uses cookies

We use two types of cookies, permanent and temporary (so-called session cookies).

  • Permanent cookies are permanently saved as a file on your computer. For example, they are used for features that tell you what's new since you last visited the site, and to collect statistics about how the site is used.
  • Session cookies are temporarily placed files on your computer. They are stored while you visit the website and disappear as soon as you close the page. They are used to, for example, keep track of which language you selected and to ensure that pages are loaded quickly on your computer.

We use the analytics tool Google Analytics to collect statistics and measure traffic on our site. This may include information about how the visitor has clicked on our site, which pages are visited and how long the visit lasts. We do not save any personal information about you as a visitor. Cookies cannot harm your files or increase the risk of viruses on your computer.

How to manage and remove cookies

If you do not want to allow cookies to be stored on your computer, you can set this in your browser's help section. There you can also delete cookies that you have saved previously. However, keep in mind that some features on our site are dependent on cookies and may not work if you remove them.
