
Electric strike adapted for single and double latch locks
STEP 60 Silent is designed for both single and double latch lock cases. Its patented STEP Silent® technology and robust construction make it ideal for doors subject to high-frequency use and/or where noise reduction is a priority.
Enhanced intrusion protection
STEP 60 Silent significantly increases intrusion resistance. It features a uniquely designed rotating cam that fully captures the bolt, withstanding a breaking strength of up to 1 600 kg. An electrically controlled anti-tamper mechanism further protects against manipulation of the locking function. This high breaking strength is achieved in both fail-secure and fail-safe function.
Integrated bolt contact and barrier contact
A built-in bolt contact detects whether the door is open or closed, while an integrated barrier contact indicates whether the door is locked or unlocked. This means you can see that the door is actually locked, not just closed.

With patented STEP Preload technology
Modern door environments place high demands on sound insulation, indoor climate and fire requirements. This requires tightly sealed doors, which in turn results in high preload pressure.
Several factors can further increase the strain on the lock, such as unsynchronized door automation, snow or gravel on the threshold, or a slightly warped door.

Functional description
- The rotating cam is electrically activated via access control system, code lock or similar, and becomes unlocked, (fail secure function).
- The rotating cam is electrically activated via access control system, code lock or similar, and becomes locked (fail safe function).
- The access control system detects, due to the bolt contact whether the door is closed or open.
- The access control system detects, due to the barrier contact whether the electrik strike is locked or unlocked.
- Choose between 24 V and 12 V and whether the the electric strike should be in fail safe or fail secure function.
