Fire‑approved electric strike with dual rotating cams
STEP 92 Preload is a double electric strike developed for doors with normal security requirements but with high demands on operational reliability. It is fire resistant and handles heavy loads and high-frequency use.
Combining door automation with multiple functional requirements
Both rotating cams can be set to either fail-secure or fail-safe function, independently of each other. This allows the electric strike to handle a variety of different door environments and functions.
It’s an ideal choice in door environments when you need to combine fire resistance, door automation, evacuation and re-entry, or when you want to combine a double latch lock with door automation.

250 kg with patented STEP Preload technology
Modern door environments place high demands on sound insulation, indoor climate and fire requirements. This requires tightly sealed doors, which in turn results in high preload pressure.
Several factors can further increase the strain on the lock, such as unsynchronized door automation, snow or gravel on the threshold, or a slightly warped door.
STEP Preload technology ensures that STEP 92 Preload can unlock even under preload pressures of up to 250 kg. This patented technology withstands comparison and sets the standard for the entire industry.
High flexibility and easy installation
Both rotating cams are in adjustable function. This makes it easy to change the function on site, which simplifies inventory and reduces installation costs. The strike is reversible and fits both left- and right-handed doors. Both rotating cams has bolt contact.

STEP 92 Preload is a fire-resistant electric strike with two rotating cams, which individually can be set in fail-secure or fail-safe function. This offers exceptional flexibility, allowing the electric strike to be adapted to a wide range of door environments and functions. Functional description
- Reversible to fit right- and left hung doors.
- Adjustable function. The rotating cams are activated electrically via access control system, code lock or similar, and becomes locked or unlocked depending on the setting of the strike plate. By default, both rotating cams are in fail safe function.
- With bolt contact in both rotating cams. The access control system detects, due to the bolt contacts whether the door is closed or open.
