What is an electromechanical lock?

An electromechanical lock, sometimes also referred to as an electric lock, is a lock that combines electrical and mechanical functions. Electromechanical locks come in many forms and sizes, depending on their purpose. We offer small electric strikes that easily fit into existing doors, as well as robust constructions suited for high-security doors.

The electric function is driven by solenoids in our electric strikes and electric handle locks, while motor locks are powered by a motor.
