Motor lock STEP 351S-DN

– increases intrusion security and ease of use around the clock in high-frequency door environments

STEP 351S-DN is developed with world-leading Swedish technology. It is a motor lock with an extremely fast, motor-controlled locking and unlocking of the hook bolt. A unique, patent-pending Day and Night function allows you to ensure class 3 at night and class 2A, 2B and evacuation acc. SS-EN 179:2008 on the day.

Now we are redefining the concept of Day and Night

The STEP 352S-DN is no ordinary Day and Night lock. It is a brand new innovation that completely redefines the concept.

Thanks to our patent-pending Day and Night function, you meet class 2A, 2B and evacuation acc. SS-EN 179:2008 on the day. When the building is emptied for the evening, the lock’s split function can be blocked and the night mode can be activated, which meets the insurance companies’ requirements for an “approved locking device”. With a quick, powerful hook bolt that is always locked, even during the day, the lock meets class 3 at night.

In this way, you can therefore create an incredibly cost-effective door environment where the traditional solution, with one day lock and one night lock, can now be replaced by a single powerful motor lock!

It’s a true Day and Night function – as it should be.

For high-frequency door environments

At the same time, the lock is designed to be used in high-frequency door environments and can handle several million openings, which also happen as quickly as an electric strike plate.

Thanks to these characteristics, the STEP 352DN is an optimal choice for door environments in all types of businesses that are emptied at night, but are frequently used, and by many people during the day.

Experience a real Day and Night function – the way it should work

⇒  The built-in split function means that you can open the door with lever handle from the interior side. Alarm bypass allows you to obtain an “approved passage” from the interior side of the door.

⇒  When the building is emptied for the evening, the lock’s split function can be blocked and the night mode can be activated, which meets the insurance companies’ requirements for an “approved lock unit”. The control of disconnected night mode must be coordinated with a function essential to the operation, e.g. main lighting.

⇒  This means that you can ensure class 3 at night and class 2A, 2B and evacuation acc. EN 179:2008 on the day.

At the same time, the split function ensures that evacuation cannot be blocked by the lever handle on the exterior side.

Handles door automation

STEP 351S-DN is without latch bolt, which means it can handle door automation. STEP 351S-DN is therefore a good choice for door environments where you want increased accessibility.

Manipulation protected block function

The lock has a double blocking, where the blocking of the hook bolt also is blocked by a latch. The latch position is read by an optical sensor so you can trust that it is really locked. The latch is completely protected from access and thus ensures protection against manipulation.

FreeDrive®minimizes wear during mechanical use

The FreeDrive® technology enables the locks motor and gearbox to disengages every time the door unlocks mechanically. This means that the wear minimizes when using lever handle, knob, keys or emergency exit device. Locks with FreeDrive® used together with STEP Exit on doors with emergency exits can therefore be used thousands of times every day.

Control units with smart features

ST500C

  • ST500C uses encrypted communication OSDP AES-128 for locking, unlocking and status indications.
  • Handles up to two motor locks for connection to access system, alarm and central function. These can be controlled individually or synchronized for connection to access control systems, alarms and essential function.
  • Handles re-entry.
